PURR-FECT CAT SHELTER

Capital Campaign: Building a Future
We have our new home and we are all moved in!
It's been a busy summer for the Purr-fect Cat Shelter. We are all settled in our "forever home" and so happy with all the work that many businesses, individuals and volunteers have done to make sure we were in our new shelter by July 31, 2007. Although we have fulfilled our dream of owning our own facility, our Capital Campaign: Building a Future continues to be very important to us. Now we have a mortgage, making it difficult for us to save for things we will need in the future. Our future needs include a roof, siding, landscaping, and some masonry work. Please consider supporting our Capital Campaign. We are committed to helping homeless animals. Below is important information about the impact of PCS in the community.
Who we are and what we've accomplished...
PCS is a non-profit, no-kill, all volunteer organization providing shelter and care to homeless cats with the ultimate goal of finding a permanent home for each cat.
PCS provides services and support to the towns of Medway, Millis, Franklin, Bellingham, Norfolk, Walpole, and surrounding communities.
PCS has placed over 1890 cats and kittens since establishment in 1996.
PCS has developed a very strong, volunteer base who: care for the residents of the shelter 365 days of the year; open their homes to cats and kittens waiting to be placed into the shelter; take care of day-to-day operations; fund raise; and promote awareness of humane issues by visiting local community groups and attending local events.
PCS volunteers annually staff a local low cost Rabies Clinic.
PCS volunteers have provided assistance and equipment for the humane trapping of over 1,000 stray and feral cats in 23 local communities.
PCS has implemented a successful Trap/Neuter/Release program to help combat the ever rising feral cat population.
PCS, through our Trap/Neuter/Release program, provides all feral cats necessary medical care including: spay or neuter, vaccinations, and testing for feline leukemia and FIV.
PCS currently feeds and cares for several feral cat colonies in local communities.
PCS works closely with local animal control officers, to date rescuing over 500 stray cats, providing shelter and medical care, and then placing them with adoptive families.
Our new shelter facility will allow us to better care for the shelter residents, build an even stronger volunteer base, enhance our programs, and continue to be a vital organization in the communities we serve. Our dedicated volunteers have shown their willingness to advocate on behalf of the animals. We still need your support of our Capital Campaign so we may provide a safe environment, security, care and shelter to homeless cats and kittens in need. More information about our exciting news will be coming soon in our fall newsletter.
Thank you for your support in making our dream a reality!
