Special Needs Cat

“Simba”: Adult, Domestic Longhair, Neutered Male, Orange, FIV+. Simba was picked up as a stray by a local Animal Control and was already neutered. Animal Control held him for the appropriate amount of time to see if anyone claimed this awesome, very friendly boy. Since no one came forward to claim him, we took him in and had him seen by the veterinarian. The Veterinarian gauged him to be approximately 4 years old and very healthy, although he did test positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Cats diagnosed with FIV+ can live long, healthy, normal life with proper care. See information about FIV below.

Simba is a big, handsome, loving cat who is happiest when he has someone to be with. Since he was diagnosed with FIV+ he has been cared for by a foster home which has given us a chance to really get to know his personality and his needs. Simba needs a home where there is someone around a lot of the time so he can get a lot of attention, spend time in your lap getting petted, join you to watching your favorite show or sit on a perch in a sunny window. He loves to play with a variety of toys either with you or if they are scattered about the house. This gentle giant has a laid-back personality and also loves to be combed and brushed which is good because he is one soft, fluffy kitty! Simba is a fun, affectionate, young cat that deserves a special family to care for him and be around to keep him company.
