The Purr-fect Cat Shelter (PCS) is a non-profit, no-kill, all-volunteer organization. It was established to provide temporary shelter and care for cats, with the ultimate goal of finding permanent homes for each one of them. Cats accepted into the shelter stay as long as it is necessary and will not be euthanized because they have run out of time to find a home. The PCS membership consists of volunteers who donate their time and energy, talents, and financial support to accomplish the goals of the Shelter. Some of these volunteers also serve on the Board of Directors.
Cats adopted to date:
Cat of the month: Wheezy
Wheezy was another stray picked up by a local Animal Control and in need of placement into a shelter. Shortly after being transferred it was found that she had a bad tooth which was subsequently removed by our veterinarian. She’s had full blood work done, been vaccinated, tested and must have belonged to someone because she was already spayed. Wheezy is playful and at times has a lot to say. She is a petite lady with pretty markings and is very loving with a wonderful soothing purr. She is not fond of the other cats so a home as an only kitty is what would suit little Wheezy best. She is a great cat and will be a terrific companion.
