The Purr-fect Cat Shelter

Meet "Siva"! In Sanskrit, the word “siva” means “gracious, kind, benevolent, friendly” – all words which perfectly describe this handsome Siamese Seal-Point mix. Siva is a gentle and shy front declaw cat who took a little time to get settled at the shelter but now enjoys lots of attention and engages in some play with volunteers. He was loved for many years by his previous owner; however, sadly, his owner could no longer care for him, so Siva is now at the shelter waiting for his new person.

 

That person needs to match Siva’s kind and gracious personality and be willing to provide care for a senior cat (Siva is 11 years old) with hyperthyroidism (controlled with medication). Even though he has this common condition, Siva is in great health and since he possesses the longevity genes of a Siamese, he should bring happiness to his new owner for many years to come.

 

The best home for him will be a quiet one with no other pets and no small children. We are now accepting applications for people interested in Siva and our adoption counselors will review each one to find the best match for this loving boy.
